SMILE is pleased to announce the launch of our next great project to help families struggling with their child’s rare disease.
Many parents have to give up work and move far away from their home, other children, friends and support network when their child is diagnosed with a rare illness. Ongoing costs for equipment, medication and care can be crippling and many parents neeed to give up work to care for their child.
SMILE's Family Relief Program will offer financial grants to families who are struggling with their child's rare disease. The grants will be administered through the social work departments of childrens' hospitals throughout Australia.
