Evie

Tam Johnston
CEO

Tam joined SMILE in February 2013 as Chief Executive Officer. Tam has spent the last nine years with the National Australia Day Council, most recently as National Program Director and Deputy CEO. In this role Tam was responsible for the Australian of the Year Awards as well as Australia Day celebrations nationally. Tam has also worked in Public Affairs for the Australian Government and as a Public Relations consultant in private industry. She holds a Bachelor of Communication, a Graduate Certificate in Management and a Masters of Business Administration.

Evie Smith
SMILE Case Manager

Evie has been a key member of the SMILE team since the very early days of the charity and is now SMILE's Case Manager, a position that has been created to help the SMILE families with accessing necessary resources. Evie's role also includes raising community awareness of rare childhood disease as well as managing our Ambassador Program. She has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of NSW and a Diploma in Health Counselling from the Medical Registrar of Australia.
