Variety - the Children's Charity has recently taken over the programs of the Smile Foundation, with the aim of continuing the Foundation’s work in improving the quality of life of children living with a rare disease, or condition, and helping to raise awareness.

Variety’s Smile Program

The Smile Program’s purpose is to enhance the lives of children affected by a rare disease or condition, by providing responsive financial and practical assistance and facilitating access to information, resources and services for their families and carers.

The Smile Foundation was first established in 2007 and has played a vital role in advocacy, raising awareness and understanding of the impact of rare diseases and conditions in Australia, whilst supporting families in need. In 2014 Variety – the Children’s Charity adopted the Smile Foundation, integrating it with their current programs. Through the integration, Variety continues their work in assisting Australian children who are sick, disadvantaged and who have special needs to overcome whatever obstacles they face and to live life to the fullest.
